GE Healthcare Partners launches automated hospital bed management tool
GE Healthcare Partners, in partnership with Oregon-based Apprise Health Insight, today launched a first-of-its-kind tool for addressing hospital capacity and critical resource management. The tool, which was developed via a Department of Health and Human Services grant, seeks to alleviate capacity issues stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic by automatically tracking and recording bed availability data. GE says the tool, which will be made available to every hospital in Oregon by summer 2022, will help health organizations make timely, informed decisions about staffing and resources.
