Description

Wednesday, July 10 at 1:00 pm ET (12:00 pm CT, 11:00 am MT, 10:00 am PT)

Truly successful health care teams encompass the entire staff, not just those with clinical backgrounds. But how can we effectively teach TeamSTEPPS tools to nonclinical staff? Aren’t these tools solely for improving clinical performance and patient safety? The answer is no. TeamSTEPPS tools are versatile and adaptable, whether treating a patient, collaborating in meetings or managing daily communications. Embedding TeamSTEPPS into non-clinical situations and processes is essential for long-term sustainability for both clinicians and nonclinicians.

This webinar introduces TeamSTEPPS concepts and tools to enhance teamwork, communication and leadership from a nonclinical perspective. Learn how to make meetings more meaningful and efficient, and empower all team members to voice their concerns confidently. You will walk away with facilitation strategies to teach TeamSTEPPS tools nonclinically through engaging scenarios and activities, while also exploring innovative ways to integrate TeamSTEPPS beyond direct patient care.

Learning Objectives:

  • Describe the need to teach all members of the health care team, clinical and nonclinical alike, TeamSTEPPS tools from the nonclinical perspective
  • Identify strategies to facilitate the TeamSTEPPS tools nonclinically
  • Explore innovative ways to integrate TeamSTEPPS beyond direct patient care to enhance sustainability
  • Discuss how implementing TeamSTEPPS into nonclinical situations and processes can improve communication, teamwork and leadership
